U2
This band's been with me and I have been with them since the 90's when I heard one of their songs on an independent radio station and immediately liked them.
David Gray
Great Singer/Songwriter from the UK.
Coldplay
I first heard a song by them on the radio called "The Scientist" and had no idea who was singing it as the station didn't announce the artist at the end of the song. I loved the song and so asked around and found out it was Coldplay and I've been pretty much hooked on them ever since. (Click to watch video of "The Scientist.")
Mary Chapin Carpenter
I was in Copenhagen watching a music program on the BBC and suddenly she came on singing a song called "I Am A Town." I immediately loved her voice and loved the song. Mary Chapin Carpenter has been around for a long time. She has had a few hit songs and has won Grammys. Despite all that, to this day she still maintains a low profile rather than allow herself to become overly commercialized. One of the best singer/songwriters America has to offer. (Click on her name to hear "I Am A Town.") Her latest CD was released this year under the title "The Age Of Miracles."
Lady Gaga
(Video)
The hottest thing to hit the pop music scene since Madonna. Pop Music at it's best. Irrelevant and meaningless with a good dance beat and great vocals.
Other Musicians I have liked
:
Sinead O'Connor - Burst on the scene in the early 90's. One of Ireland's most soulful female singers.Lucinda Williams - Alternative Country Music - Writes all her own songs. Nitty and gritty vocals.
Elvis Costello - British Singer/Songwriter
Savage Rose - One of Denmark's oldest and most famous groups. Incredible vocals by female singer, Annisette!
THE SCULPTURE AND THE CLAY - Great U2 influenced band from Holland. I am the distributor and seller of their CD "The Sculpture and The Clay," which will be sold from this site.
